Manchester United have a dekko at Hudson-Odoi

About Football Express UK

Manchester United are reportedly monitoring the situation of Callum Hudson-Odoi. The 20-year-old forward has been struggling with Chelsea due to his lack of playing time.

Even though the current Blues coach, Thomas Tuchel, offered him a new role, he had failed to impress him. As a result, if he leaves the club, he may continue in the Premier League as the Red Devils are also interested in signing him.

Hudson-Odoi has still three more years left at his contract but still there’s a possibility for a transfer deal. The Blues are also thinking about an ‘almost impossible’ Haaland deal and thus, they might have to make some money for that transfer to happen.

Manchester United consider Hudson-Odoi as another alternative for Jadon Sancho

Callum Hudson-Odoi made his senior debut for the Blues in 2018 in an FA Cup match against Newcastle United. However, he became a superstar when Maurizio Sarri took over as the head coach in 2018. He had scored 13 goals and 16 assists in 98 appearances so far for the London club.

Bayern Munich have been monitoring him since then. Probably, they are the frontrunners in signing him. However, Manchester United have shortlisted him as an alternative for Jadon Sancho.

According to The Express , the Red Devils are willing to offer only upto £70 million for signing a player. Thus, they would be looking for the probable alternatives. Kingsley Coman, Cristiano Ronaldo and Ousmane Dembele could also be the possible alternatives.

However, Sancho’s current club, Borussia Dortmund are also interested in signing Hudson-Odoi. Thus, the youngster has a lot of decisions to be made and he could change his mind by staying at Stamford Bridge for years to come.

Manchester United will be looking forward to challenge for the title next season. Moreover, they will be hoping to add some depth in their squad before the start of next season.
