Wolves have been excellent defensively this season. The team was able to restrict the free-scoring Liverpool side till the last minutes.
But they will be playing at Ethihad Stadium and City is known for dominating and dismantling lesser oppositions. Wolves do have a recent history of upsetting Manchester City. But with a side that is scoring less than a goal a game, it will be hard to penetrate the City defense.
Pep Guardiola will also be looking to have a response from his team after their loss to RB Leipzig in the Champions League. The Spaniard however will be happy that Kevin De Bruyne has returned to the starting eleven. The excellent form of Bernardo Silva will also be crucial as City tries to break the visitor’s defense.
The Premier League is currently in a three-way title race, with top-placed City and 3rd placed Chelsea separated by just 2 points. Any slip from the champions will give their rivals a chance to move ahead of them. Hence expect City to approach the game with full intensity.
