Manchester City 7-0 Leeds United: player ratings

Ederson(GK)(6/10):

The Brazilian goalkeeper didn’t even have to break his sweat apart from one occasion due to the lack of threat from the visitors.

John Stones(RB)(7/10):

The Englishman started in an unfamiliar position and made a mistake in the first half but overall had a very good performance and also scored a goal.

Ruben Dias(CB)(6/10):

Didn’t have to do much defensively and it was a pretty comfortable outing.

Aymeric Laporte(CB)(6/10):

The Spaniard also had a great time and wasn’t challenged enough by the opposition attackers.

Oleksandr Zinchenko(LB)(6/10):

Made a handball early into the game and thankfully it was outside the box otherwise VAR would easily give the penalty. Apart from that, displayed a pretty tidy performance.

Rodri(CDM)(7/10):

Provided a great assist for De Bruyne on the second goal and played very well as long as he was on the pitch.

Bernardo Silva(CM)(6/10):

Missed a glorious opportunity to open the scoresheet but movement in the middle was good and showed a few good touches.

Kevin De Bruyne(CAM)(9/10):

Scored two great goals. The finishing on the first goal was excellent and the strike for the second was simply outstanding.

Riyad Mahrez(RW)(8/10):

Delivered a great cross for the second goal and also scored the fourth at a crucial time when the visitors were trying to get back to the game. Overall a great performance.

Jack Grealish(LW)(6.5/10):

Scored a goal but was taking too long to release the ball which was slowing the game down for the Citizens.

Phil Foden(CF)(7.5/10):

Scored the opener and also delivered a great corner on the seventh goal. A great outing after recovering from injury.

Substitute:

Ilkay Gundogan(CM)(7/10):

Came on in place of Bernardo Silva and provided the pass that De Bruyne scored his second goal.

Fernandinho(CDM)(6/10):

Replaced Rodri and didn’t require to do much in the second half.

Nathan Ake(CB)(7/10):

Scored a great goal from a set piece and was an important game time for the Dutchman.
