Comparing fixtures of Manchester City,Liverpool and Chelsea

About Football Express UK

Manchester City will be heading into Gameweek 23 after beating Chelsea 1-0.

A beautiful curler from Kevin De Bruyne settled the score between The Cityzens and The Blues. As of now, Manchester City is 11 points clear of Liverpool and 13 points clear of Chelsea. Do keep in mind that the Scousers also have a game in hand.

Let’s take a look at their next six fixtures as Manchester City look to solidify their lead and further themselves away from Chelsea and Liverpool.

Manchester City vs Southampton

Pep Guardiola’s players will face Southampton next in the Premier League. Ralph Hasenhuttl has guided his team to a mid-table position and has secured enough points to survive relegation.

The city will try their best to overcome Southampton this time after a draw when they faced each other for the first time this season.

Manchester City vs Brentford

The city has already defeated Brentford with a narrow margin of 1-0 over the Christmas period. Pep Guardiola and co surely need to be aware of the danger which Brentford poses.

Manchester City vs Norwich City

The Canaries are struggling a lot this season and just recently beat Everton 2-1 ending their 12 matches winless streak. Currently, they are 13th on the table.

The city should easily beat Norwich City as they look forward to clinching the title.

City vs Tottenham Hotspurs

In the past City vs Spurs has always been an exciting fixture. Tottenham have gotten the better of Pep Guardiola at the start of the season.

The Cityzens will also face Sporting Portugal on 16th Feb hence Pep will have to rest important players. It is possible that City might not be in proper form because they will face Spurs on 19th Feb.

City vs Everton

Everton is in a really bad position as of now especially after sacking manager Rafa Benitez. They can be an entirely different team in February under a new manager but new changes take time.

Manchester City should easily be able to beat the Toffees.

City vs Manchester United

Manchester United under Ralf Rangnick has been disappointing. Whether it is a managerial problem or an issue with the players’ mentality and mindset is unknown.

Pep should capitalise on the situation and get the better out of The Red Devils. However, anything can happen in a Manchester Derby.
