Man United young star Rhys Bennett to leave the club on loan

Man United have some quality players at their disposal including some exciting talents. The Red Devils have been in the news recently due to their management change and ownership. It may impact the players decision and performance on the pitch. With the transfer window open there has been activity at the Old Trafford regarding transfers. The biggest news being Jadon Sancho leaving the club to join former club Borussia Dortmund on loan. Now Man United young star Rhys Bennett has been reported to leave the club soon on loan. A deal has been signed with Stockport County to secure the 20 years old on a loan deal.

Rhys Bennett to join Stockport County on loan

The Centre back has made four senior team appearances for the Red Devils under Erik Ten Hag. Rhys is a product of the Man United academy and has been a Red Devil since joining the academy in the under-10 squad. The starlet is set to join the League Two leaders. Stockport County are aiming to secure a promotion to the League One. Rhys Bennett captained the Man United squad to FA Youth Cup success in 2022. Subsequently, he was handed a new contract deal at Old Trafford last July.

A star defender for the future

Rhys Bennett has been impressive in the Man United under-21 squad. In 67 appearances he has even scored 3 goals and an assist for Man United youth side. The 20 year old is certainly in plans for the future at Old Trafford. A loan spell for Rhys Bennett can help the youngster to develop in his full potential before he could return at the Old Trafford. With Man United’s defense not in the best form right now, the Red Devils will certainly need the defensive starlet in the future.
