Man City planning to trigger release clause of Chelsea transfer target

Manchester City Colwill

Man City and Chelsea are very different in terms of the position in the League. City are in the top 3 with great chances to even win the title. Whereas, Chelsea are in the bottom half of the Premier League. However, there is also a great similarity between the two. They both like to spend big in the transfer window and have no limitations on funding. This often creates a clash of interests in the transfer market. One such case is of Bruno Guimarães of Newcastle United. The player is wanted by numerous European giants like PSG, Real Madrid and others including Man City and Chelsea.

Man City to consider signing Chelsea transfer target Bruno

The Brazilian has been phenomenal since his arrival in the Premier League. Guimarães while playing in the centre midfield has scored 3 goals and provided 5 assists this season in the League. He is arguably Newcastle’s best player in their squad. It is unclear whether Newcastle will be willing to let the player go, considering his role in their squad. However, he has said earlier about his future,

“I enjoy my time here a lot. I have never felt so loved. The fans have been unbelievable with me and my family. When I get the shirt I try to play for them. I don’t know [how long I’ll be here], but I hope this can keep going for much longer.”

Where would Bruno Guimarães go?

According to FootballTransfers, the Brazilian’s ideal destination is Real Madrid or Barcelona. But chances of that happening are very slim right now. Hence, he might stay in the Premier League but may move to Man City or Chelsea for a change. Time will tell where the Brazilian midfielder lands next. However, Man City and Chelsea will be keeping an closing eye for the player.
