Man City have ‘clear idea’ of signing UD Las Palmas player

Manchester City Colwill

Man City are known for their good business in the transfer market over the years. They have a habit of signing players with an immense potential. Along with big money signings, they have secured some players young with great potential for the future. City are looking to repeat this tactic again by signing a UD Las Palmas prospect. According to reports by Marca, Man City have a ‘clear idea’ of signing Mika Mármol from Las Palmas. Man City have reportedly contacted the player’s agent José María Orobitg recently. The player has caught City’s attention with ‘magnificent’ performances this season. However, City plan to buy the player and let him develop somewhere else before bringing him to the Etihad.

Girona are also interested in the player, a City Football group club as well. Man City might buy the player and send him to Girona on loan for further development. The player is valued at €5 million by transfermarkt currently. Las Palmas paid €1.9m to Andorra last season for the player. However, they might demand upwards of €5m for the player looking at City’s habits and good financial support. The Manchester club had been following the player for some time now and are ready to make an offer.

Mika Mármol : One for the future

The 22-years-old Spanish International plays as a centre back for the Laliga side. He has also played for the La Masia, FC Barcelona’s youth academy. In 26 appearances this season in the LaLiga the centre back has even provided an assist with impressive defensive display. Man City have acknowledged the talent Mika possesses and want to secure him for the future. First team appearance for him at Man City is highly unlikely for the next season. As he will most probably be sent on loan or kept at Las Palmas itself for the next season.
