Man City could sign two valuable midfielders from Bayern Munich

according to The Athletic

City could sign both Joshua Kimmich and Jamal Musiala from Bayern Munich. They both are currently one of the world’s best midfielders. Pep Guardiola has worked with Kimmich during his three-year spell at the German giants. Kimmich has time to time expressed his desire to work with Spaniard.

Kimmich’s contract is expiring in 2025. There were rumors of him joining Barcelona as he is not the ideal fit tactically for Thomas Tuchel. However, it is looking unlikely.

On the other hand, Jamal Musiala’s contract is also expiring. He can sign the contract extension till 2026. He is a talented 20-year-old Dynamic midfielder. Signs of him becoming one of the greats of the game is already visible.

However, even if the city tries to sign them both, it’s looking unlikely. They could sign Kimmich, but Musiala’s transfer chances are looking low. Bayern is not going to sell Musiala.

However, City’s director of football Txiki Begiristain told The Athletic that city is prioritising other positions to strengthen their team. They have already a lot of midfield options available but Kimmich’s defensive abilities could make City sign him.
