Liverpool young star says Jurgen Klopp has left him “heartbroken”

The Reds have slipped to the second place of the Premier League table after the draw against Man City. It is the last season for Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool, and the players want to honour his legacy with trophies. The Premier League title is still within their reach and they will head to the Quarter Finals of the Europa League comfortably. The FA Cup is also yet to be decided. Liverpool can win all three of these trophies to give Jurgen Klopp a honourable farewell. For the players to win these trophies, they need to be consistent and motivated all along the way.

However, One of the youth prospects at Liverpool was left “heartbroken” due to Klopp’s departure news. 18 Years old youth player Lewis Koumas has expressed his grief over the legendary manager’s departure. Koumas was given a few chances in the first team by Jurgen Klopp.

Liverpool shared a video of their young players discussing their ambitions for this season. In the video, Koumas said,

“I just hope we do it all for the boss really. It’s going to be heartbreaking when he goes,” the midfielder admitted. “I hope we can get a few more trophies for him. He’s unbelievable. One of the best managers in the world and it’s great to learn from him and show what I can do.”

The young players in the Liverpool squad discussed various other aspects of their career and the rest of the season. However, Koumas was heard urging their colleagues to win more trophies to honour the German manager. The youngsters have always got adequate chances under Jurgen Klopp to ensure their development. Hence, the players love the German manager for his man management. The Reds might not be the same after Klopp leaves after so many years at the club and reaching new heights of success with him.
