Liverpool vs Benfica: Preview and Predicted Line-up

About Football Express UK

Liverpool is set to welcome Benfica in the second leg of the Champions League quarter-finals on Wednesday night.

Despite having a tough time against Manchester City in the Premier League, Jurgen Klopp’s side managed to come away with one point from the Etihad Stadium. Twice the Reds found themselves trailing and on both occasions, they managed to pull themselves back.

Meanwhile, after failing to beat the Citizens in the title-deciding encounter, Liverpool is currently sitting second in the league with just one point behind the defending champions Manchester City.

On the other hand, Benfica will be coming into this game after a brilliant victory against Belenenses SAD. Despite trailing the game, the Eagles managed to come away with all three points courtesy of a brilliant hat-trick from Darwin Nunez.

Meanwhile, Liverpool has almost secured their place in the semi-final of the Champions League after winning the first leg by 3-1. It will be a daunting challenge for the visitors to win this game by two or more goals at Anfield.
