Liverpool Starting XI

Defense

Allison – There’s nothing left to say about Allison at this point. Ever since coming into the Liverpool squad, He has just gone to elevate their defense to the next level. Another sublime performance

Player Rating : 8

Trent Alexander-Arnold – Trent was weakest in this game, Not necessarily bad however weakest so far. Had a difficult first half with mis-passes however turned it up a notch in the second.

Player Rating : 7

Joel Matip – Matip did well defensively however he was poor with his passes. Not his best night however not his worst either.

Virgil Van-Dijk – Van Dijk did not have much to do as much of the action was happening in front of him. He did get the best “seats in the house”.

Player Rating : 7

Andy Robertson – Robertson continued his form from the Manchester United. Headed the goal which decided Liverpool’s fate. A true man of the match performance.

Player Rating : 9

Midfield

Fabinho – Weak performance. Had difficulty in the first half creating chances and got in to tussles with players however upped the ante in the second.

Player Rating : 7

Attack

Mohamed Salah – Salah returned to form the last game with a brace and looked threatening against Everton. He was unlucky not to score.

Player Rating : 7

Diogo Jota – Jota looks out of touch when he doesn’t score which was the case here. He needs to really outgrow his role as a poacher and become a proper central forward. If he continues his role, he may be recognized as a rotational player given his talents.

Player Rating : 6

Sadio Mane – Mane was not at his best after a stunning display against Manchester United. However given Mane’s caliber, it was just an off day.

Divock Origi – Liverpool Legend. Period.
