Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has predicted the winners of the forthcoming Premier League season, believes rivals Manchester City will win again.
The Reds gaffer in his recent interview described the new season and how it rivals Manchester City could win the title. Liverpool lost the title on the last day to the Cityzens after the latter’s heroic win over Aston Villa.
Even having made some vital signings for the Merseyside club, Klopp still concedes that Pep Guardiola’s side are better. The gaffer made some interesting statements regarding the Premier League title race which could annoy a lot of Liverpool fans.
Klopp makes interesting Manchester City claim
In an interview with Sky Sports, Klopp expressed his stance on the forthcoming season and made his prediction. He said-
“It’s always like this: the main target is to qualify for the Champions League,”
“It’s really difficult enough already. When you reach that and then still have time to fight for the title, then you do that. But for the majority of the season you fight for the Champions League.
“That will be a massive fight (for the Premier League title), oh my god. That’s the Premier League.
I have no idea who will make the race, it looks like City in the end will be the champion.
If we hadn’t have been champion I think they would’ve won it five or six times in a row which is really crazy in this country. But our target is to play the best possible season for us.
What can we squeeze out? Let’s see. Really looking forward to it.”
These statements must trigger fans especially because the season is just about to start. However, it will still be interesting how City and Liverpool push each other in the race for the title this season.
