Player ratings: Liverpool came away victorious quite comfortably by 4-1 against the third-tier English opposition Shrewsbury Town in the third round of FA Cup competition.
The Reds fielded a side with most of the academy players due to the recent Covid-19 outbreak in the squad. And the visitors took an early lead into the game with the hope of a big upset from this encounter.
However, the hosts settled down the game quickly with the help of the home support and were already 2-1 up before the interval thanks to the contributions from youngster Kaide Gordon and Fabinho.
Liverpool intensified their search for more goals and in the end, scored two late goals from substitute Roberto Firmino and Fabinho to earn a comfortable victory.

Returned to action after not being involved in the last game due to suspension and overall a very good display.
Fabinho – 8/10
Scored two goals on either side of both halves from the defensive midfield position. A conference boosting performance from the Brazilian.
Elijah Dixon-Bonner – 6/10
The 21-year-old got his debut for the senior squad at Anfield and played a pretty tidy game for an hour.
Tyler Morton – 6.5
The youngster is enjoying his time with the first-team squad and looked quite confident playing in midfield.
Curtis Jones – 6/10
Played the full game in over a month and overall a good performance from the youngster.
Kaide Gordon – 7/10
Scored the opener in his debut at Anfield. It can’t be any better for the 17-year-old than this.
Max Woltman – 6/10
Led the line for the Reds in the F.A Cup. A great learning experience for the young man.

Replaced Woltman at the interval and displayed a productive performance.

Started on the bench after recovering from Covid-19 and made his mark as a substitute.
