Leicester City vs Southampton : Match Preview, Kick off, Team News and more

Oxlade-Chamberlain Liverpool

Leicester City takes on Southampton in their final match of the Premier League. Both teams are going to finish mid-table regardless of the outcome of their final match. The only thing they could do is finish on a high note.

Leicester City have been poor this season compared to their previous years. Leicester has always been a dark horse in the Premier League. They are the kind of squad that is underestimated all the time and almost always surprises everyone. Leicester always had a knack for toppling big sides however they have been unable to do so this year barring a couple of games against Manchester United. They are finishing in a mid-table position which is poor by their standards as they miss European football. Leicester would be hoping to end this season on a high note. Moreover, as the match takes place at home for Leicester, they would be hoping to end the season in a good way in front of their fans.

Southampton will finish in the exact same position as they were last year. They have not been better by any means however at the same time they have not been worse either. Southampton have done well enough to stay in the league considering big teams have been struggling this season – Everton. Moreover, they have done well enough to tackle better teams and accumulate points. Southampton supporters would not be entirely enthusiastic about the finish yet they wouldn’t be disappointed either. Southampton would be hoping for a win to end their season on a better note.
