About Football Express UK

Jordan Henderson would be most likely staying at Liverpool for at least this season. The 31-year-old midfielder has been one of the legends for the Reds and would be keen on winning yet another trophy with his club.

Although he has two more years left in his contract, he has attracted the attention of big names such as Paris Saint Germain, Juventus as well as Premier League rivals Arsenal.

Amidst speculations about his future, the Merseyside club have reportedly started negotiations for his contract renewal. The departure of Georginio Wijnaldum has taken a heavy toll and losing their skipper would certainly be a nightmare for the 2019-20 PL Champions.

Will Henderson contract renewal be the turning point for Liverpool ?

Jordan Henderson joined Liverpool from Sunderland during the 2011-12 season. Since then, he has made 392 appearances for them scoring 30 goals and assisting 51 times. His ability to orchestrate in the midfield has been incomparable and his leading ability earned him the skipper position for the Reds.

Henderson is also a key player for his national team, England. His charity deeds earned him an “MBE” honour. Nevertheless, rumours were persistent about his departure from the club.

According to Journalist Dean Jones, the Englishman won’t be leaving Anfield this summer. In an interview with Eurosport, he said,

“There is no chance Liverpool are going to let him leave at the same time as [Georginio] Wijnaldum because then your whole team starts to fall apart.”

Now, Henderson is a Liverpool legend for a decade and would be keen on improving his form. Under his term as a skipper, the Reds managed to win many trophies especially the 2019-20 Premier League title.

Arsenal, Juventus and PSG are monitoring the situation and are waiting to make a move so as to sign him. Will he stay at the English giants or will he opt for some fresh air?
