Hale End product Taylor Foran involves in Arsenal’s training in Dubai

About Football Express UK

After allowing some players to leave in January, Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is looking to involve some of the young players in the first team training season and one of them is Taylor Foran.

The Englishman caught the attention during the training session due to his massive stature standing at 196 cm. The defender also has a very good physique despite only being 18.

The Gunners boss has decided to take his first-team squad to Dubai to train in warm weather during this international break and the youth player has travelled with the squad. The youngster also towered over Gabriel Martinelli in a challenge in training.

Therefore, given the physicality and height, the youngster already has at this tender age, he might break into Mikel Arteta’s starting line-up sooner than later. However, the Spanish boss likes defenders comfortable in possession. Therefore, he will have to fit into that category to start playing regularly under Arteta.

Will Taylor Foran break into the first-team squad at Arsenal?

The pathway to the senior squad has been hindered this season due to the lack of game Arsenal required to play in this season. Emile Smith Rowe and Bukayo Saka got their chances for the Emirates club in the Europa League competition.

However, the north London club has failed to qualify for this tournament this season. And they have also failed to secure their place in the inaugural European tournament Conference League. Meanwhile, although they reached the semi-final in the EFL Cup, the Gunners could not progress to the next round of the F.A Cup

Therefore, the north London club has to play fewer games this season than the other seasons. So, the youngsters haven’t had many chances in this season to showcase their talents in the big stages.

However, given Arteta has decided to sell Callum Chambers in January. There will be room for Taylor Foran to find his place in the first-team squad. But, to do that he will have to make full use of these training sessions and impress the Spaniard.

But, it will not be easy for the 18-year-old to find a place in the first-team squad this season. As the North London club remain only 17 games in this season and all of those in the Premier League. So, Arteta might not want to give the youth player a chance to prove his worth this season.
