Before the new summer transfer window, The Gunners have made a good move as they are going to land another flourishing Eredivisie Winger.
Arsenal can save approx 23 million euros in this summer transfer window by securing the service of Feyenoord winger Luis Sinisterra instead of PSV’s Cody Gakpo. Both forwards have been sensational in this season and both are linked to Gunners now.
According to Voetbal International, the Gunners are in a pole position to sign Cody Gakpo. The 22-year-old rising star has scored 18 goals and 15 assists in 42 games so far this season. But to make the deal it will cost 35 million euros.
But according to an Italian outlet, the Gunners are chasing Sinisterra to whom they have already made a proposal whose value is far lower than Gakpo, 12.4 million euros. For his team, Sinisterra has made 42 appearances till now and has scored 21 goals and also contributed on 11 occasions. The Colombian is mainly right-footed but operates on the left-hand side of the attack.
But if both play in the centre forward position, here Gakpo has a slight advantage as he is more experienced. Despite this, Sinisterra has proved how clinical he is and he can also be a handy option in the centre forward role.
Two big players, Lacazette and Nketiah are set to leave Emirates in this summer transfer window. Another talented youngster Nicolas Pepe could also leave due to lack of game time.
Thus if Arteta becomes successful to sign both Sinisterra and Gakpo, it will be fruitful to them.
