FPL 2021-22: GW2 Analysis

About Football Express UK

The GW 1 of Premier League was exciting for fans as it was exciting and football was back with full house fans. Moreover, it was a decent week for FPL managers. Now it is time to get ready for GW 2 we only have one free transfer now in hand. We either can use it or save the free transfer and can use it next week.

Both of the top captaincy Bruno Fernandes and Mohammed Salah started the season the way they had left.

Using Wildcard, Free Hit or, Bench Boost looks too early and is better if he have patience. Using it so early might prove difficult in the long run.

FPL GW2 team Selection:

There is rise in the price of some players due to an increase in their ownership. Pogba, Richarlson and, Bruno Fernandes. These players are being transferred in rapidly by managers after their GW1 performances. If you already have one of them well and good you can keep him transferring them after just GW1 performance will be a bit risky and could potentially turn out risky.

With the arrival of Romelu Lukaku now things have become even more interesting the fpl managers who have 3 premium options already might struggle to bring him in.

Lukaku had an amazing season last year winning Scudetto with Inter under Antonio Conte breaking Juventus’s domination in Serie A.

If anyone who plan to use Wildcard, Free-Hit or, going to start late in GW 2 must take a look at Lukaku and try to get him in without sacrificing the essentials.

Wildcard Team For GW2 :

The most preferable line-up out of this set of players for GW 2: Jose Sa, Pereira, Henry, Cresswell, Bruno, Salah, Son, Fernandes(C), Benrahma, Bailey, Antonio, Armstrong.

Emmanuel Dennis could be a player value for money coming at just 5.0m, Being at the heart of attack along with Sarr. However, apart from Dennis even Sarr could be an amazing option coming at 6.0m.

Top Captaincy choices for GW 2:

The most popular choices still good be premium options Salah and Bruno, but looking at Salah’s past record with Burnley he has failed to score a goal in the previous 5 meetings. Bruno on the other hand has had an amazing last season against Southampton.

Bruno Fernandes:

The Portuguese maestro started in amazing style scoring hattrick against Leeds in the opening game week. Seeing his past performance against Southampton he has scored on the occasions against Southampton and Southampton not being a strongly defensive side we can expect Bruno party.

Trent Alexander Arnold:

The Liverpool full back ended the last season on a high. However there was no attacking return from Trent in the opening game-week. We know that he is never far away from an attacking return against Burnley he could potentially get an assist along with cleansheet.

Sadio Mane:

The Senegalese forward Sadio Mane had a good pre-season and has always outperformed Salah against Burnley so there is a very good chance that he might outscore Salah on this occasion against Burnley.

Riyad Mahrez:

The Algerian winger looks like a high risk high reward case as he as very good record against bottom half teams but there is a heavy chance that he might be rotated and not start the game which could prove very costly.

Other Potenial Captaincy choices:

Salah could still be a top a choice but looking past performance against Burnley but still could be a potential standout performance looking at his performance against Norwich providing 2 assists. Jack Grealish could also turn out to be an amazing captaincy choice against newly promoted Norwich at home.
