Fabrizio Romano reveals Liverpool scouting plans for next season


The Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano has revealed who Liverpool plan on scouting and bring at the Anfield. Also, the new contract extensions for next season for Liverpool squad. Liverpool are sitting at the second place in the Premier League after a draw with Man City. They plan to make a charge for the title this season, and bolster their squad for the upcoming season. With Jurgen Klopp leaving, the Reds have to build a stronger team with a decent manager.

One of the players the Reds are scouting is Pedro Neto. Liverpool have been a long time admirer of the Wolves’ winger. Neto is also linked with Man United and Arsenal, and may become a tricky player to sign. However, Liverpool have been scouting him since some time now according to Fabrizio Romano. He has confirmed Liverpool’s interest in the winger. The Reds are also looking for a good centre back in the transfer market.

“Edwards is the man who brought players like Van Dijk, Alisson, Salah or Sadio Mané to the club, this is why the fans still love him and the owners believe that the future will be bright under his management,”

“But also it will be an important summer at Liverpool as they are looking at offensive players (for example, Pedro Neto is one of the players monitored by the scouting department) and also a new centre back to add to their list.”

“It will be an important summer at Anfield, in terms of decisions.”

The Liverpool squad has many players whose contracts are expiring at the end of the season. These include some key players like Virgil Van Dijk, Mo Salah, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Joel Matip. It will be interesting to see if they are given a contract extension or shown the exit door.
