Everton vs Manchester City: team news, shocking transfers and so on

Manchester City Colwill

While Manchester City were moribund this January transfer window, they made a lot of news in the week that followed deadline day. That’s because Man City are about to close on the signing of Savio, a 19-year-old winger who is currently tearing it up at surprising Girona. Their next game is against Everton.

Savio is is currently on loan at Girona, shockingly a leading La Liga title contender, from French club Troyes, although he has yet to feature for the Ligue 2 side. He’s expected to come to Man City at the end of the season.

Savio is set to complete the move this summer. As we said in the last post, Manchester City have a fully fit squad, as they enter the clash with Everton FC. So nothing to cover there. Manchester City are expected to keep the same starting XI without any changes.

Shifting gears to the Toffees, Arnaut Danjuma (ankle) and Dele Alli (groin) are ruled out.

Meanwhile Seamus Coleman (knock), Amadou Onana (knee), Abdoulaye Doucoure (thigh), Ben Godfrey (calf) and Andre Gomes (calf) are all doubts.

While this is a match-up of two sides at opposite ends of the table. However, City and Everton do have one thing in common- FFP concerns.

Everton vs City:

Premier League Form, Standing:

Everton FC 18th, 19 pts, DDDLL. Everton’s results in the last five matches are way more than depressing.

Manchester City 2nd, 49 pts, WWWWW. Their results in last five matches are way more than impressive.

The kickoff for this game is scheduled to begin on Sat. Feb. 10, 12:30pm onwards in the Etihad Stadium, the home ground of City. It is quite difficult for Everton to win the game from there. Everton will have to struggle and fight hard to grab the 3 points from City.
