Everton looking to sign Dejan Kulusevski from Juventus

About Football Express UK

Everton is looking to sign Juventus winger Dejan Kulusevski. The Toffees have stepped up their ambitions after already signing Vitaliy Mykolenko and Nathan Patterson.

Despite signing Anwar El Ghazi from Aston Villa, it is unlikely that he will succeed. Ex-manager Rafael Benitez wanted Dejan and it is still unknown whether his successor would want him.

According to a report from TuttoMercatoWeb, the club has not sent any offers but are very interested in Dejan Kulusevski.

Dejan is a well renowned and talented youngster in Italy but unfortunately, Juventus are not giving him enough minutes. This is good news for Everton as they look to secure the services of the youngster.

Even Cristiano Ronaldo has spoken highly of him when he was at Juventus.

“I really like to see him, he has great potential, and he’s an excellent player. I hope to play with him and score a lot of goals together.”

How can Dejan Kulusevski form a lethal attacking duo at Everton?

Everton has managed to score fewer goals this season, even less than Crystal Palace. This is because their main striker Calvert Lewin picked up an injury at the start of the season.

Dominic scored 17 goals in 33 games last season and can even score more with the help of Dejan Kulusevski.

Dejan is mainly a right-winger but is also a versatile player who has played in many attacking positions throughout his career. He has a total of 53 goals and 45 assists in both senior and youth levels of his career.

In his first breakthrough season in 2019, he amassed 10 goals and 8 assists. Kulusevski performed brilliantly in the first half of the 2019/20 campaign which influenced Juventus to sign him. The Bianconeri then decided to loan him to Parma for the rest of the season.

After returning to Juventus under new manager Andrea Pirlo, he earned 47 appearances and a total of 79 appearances to date. ( Source: FBref). Dejan was excellent in the Coppa Italia final against his former team Atalanta in which he scored a goal and had an assist as well.

Surely the youngster deserves more playing time and can easily get a key role at Everton.
