Everton could put Dele Alli on sale this summer

About Football Express UK

Everton are considering putting Dele Alli on sale after the latter has been unable to impress the club with his performances.

Manager Frank Lampard has been in talks with the Everton board to flog Alli this summer in the transfer window. Moreover, the reasons seem strong as the player has been unable to score in 11 appearances for the Premier League side.

The former Tottenham Hotspur man joined the Toffees to get regular game time but has failed to do so. Moreover, not getting his name on the sheet for 11 consecutive matches has frustrated the management and even the fans.

Alli to leave Everton?

Everton are currently in the midst of pre-season before the Premier League kicks off a few weeks from now. The club relished in an impressive 4-2 win over Blackpool with which Alli scored a brace.

However, Alli and the club endured a rather embarrassing night losing 4-0 against Minnesota United a few days ago. The player even missed a sitter that could have given them one on the sheet however that did not happen.

That said, after the brace against Blackpool, the Everton gaffer heaped praise on the player. He said-

“Really nice,”

“Pre-season gives me a chance to give him games. I know he didn’t get the chance to get as many as he would want [last term].

“You have to earn the right, and you have to earn it with your performance, and I think the goals were great for his confidence. He’s the same as I tell all of the team – there’s improvement for every individual and us collectively.

“But it’s great for him to get those goals because it’s something he’s had as a talent and a skill in his career. If he keeps working, as he has that natural talent, those things come off…. I thought he worked hard today.”

However, even with his notable game against the English side, his sale may not be completely ruled out. With weeks to go before the window concludes, Everton may facilitate his move this summer.
