After overcoming their respective challenges in the F.A Cup third round fixture, Tottenham Hotspur will welcome Chelsea in the second leg of the EFL Cup semi-final.
Thomas Tuchel’s side beat Chesterfield by 5-1 at home and progressed through to the fourth round of FA Cup where they will encounter Plymouth Argyle. Spurs, on the other hand, defeated Morecambe in their F. A Cup fixture by 3-1 and will face Brighton & Hove Albion in the next round.
The Blues are leading by 2-0 coming into this game. And they will have to draw the game to progress through to the final of this competition. On the other hand, Antonio Conte’s side will be hoping to wipe out the deficit at home and reach the final of this competition in back-to-back seasons.
However, given the reigning Champions League winners have lost only once in their last 23 games in all competitions, it will be tough for the north London club to overcome the Blues challenge in this encounter and go through to the final by winning the game by three goals margin.
