Manchester United midfielder Donny van de Beek is keen on making Everton his permanent home, according to reports.

The Dutchman endured a torrid 18 months at Old Trafford after signing from Ajax in 2020. Van de Beek never earned the faith of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer despite the Norwegian splashing out £35m for his signature.

If he manages to get regular game time under Frank Lampard and the two clubs agree on a fee, van de Beek will do everything possible to join them. The midfielder wants to call time on his unsuccessful Manchester United career.

EVERTON MUST MEET VAN DE BEEK DEMAND

According to The Daily Star, van de Beek has no intention of returning to Old Trafford following the end of his loan spell in the summer. That is provided Everton avoid the drop.

Everton currently sits 16th at the table. They are 5 points clear of the drop and also have games in hand over the teams below them.

The 24-year-old does not want his career to stall again and is therefore desperate for a move. However, it could be more complicated than that. The move depends on a lot of factors.

Everton will have to decide whether they want to acquire the services of the Dutchman or not. And then once they make a bid, both clubs will have to agree on the fee.

According to the Star, United are ready to accept a bid in the region of £20 million. That is still a loss of £15 million on their initial spend. But this is a loss that United has to take. The Dutchman barely featured under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and had only 8 minutes of action under interim manager Ralf Rangnick.

Therefore if he has no future at United then the Red Devils will have to bite the bullet in this case. The season is long and a lot of things could still happen. Van de Beek will surely hope to impress everyone at Everton if he wants to make this switch permanent.
