According to Correio da Manha, Premier League giants Liverpool are interested in signing Benfica star striker Darwin Nunez to replace the outgoing Sadio Mane. However, they face stiff competition from fellow Premier League sides Manchester United and Newcastle United.
Sadio Mane recently made his intentions clear to leave the reds at the end of the season. The star winger is on the lookout for a new challenge. German giants Bayern Munich are keen to land the forward in the summer.
Sadio Mane has once again enjoyed a pretty decent season with Liverpool. The Senegalese winger has recorded an impressive 23 goals and five assists across 51 appearances across all competitions. (stats via Transfermarkt) He also helped his side life the EFL and FA Cup this term.
Reports suggested that Liverpool planned a mega bid for Spurs forward Son Heung-Min if Spurs failed to qualify for Champions League football at the end of the season. But with Spurs qualifying for Champions League, the plans have now changed. Liverpool are now scouting Urguian star striker Darwin Nunez.
