Manchester United have unveiled their new kit ahead of the new season that featured striker Cristiano Ronaldo despite transfer links.
The Red Devils have launched their new kit on the club’s official website in what looks a retro design for the coming season. United took to Twitter to share the video of their new jersey that featured several stars donning the outfit.
Surprisingly, Old Trafford’s No. 7 stars in the video shared by the club have yet again sparked questions. Transfer rumours have been up in the air for quite some time after Ronaldo decided to opt-out of training sessions.
Ronaldo to stay?
The kit launch video shared by the club has followed numerous speculations regarding the striker’s future in the transfer window.
Ronaldo has been unhappy with the club unable to make signings that would help them compete at a top-level. Moreover, United has not yet been able to convince manager Erik ten Hag’s potential targets to join Old Trafford.
Ronaldo believes the club will not be able to rival sides such as Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal, and the blue side of Manchester. Especially after the impact signings made by the other clubs, Ronaldo’s frustration with United seems to have grown even more.
However, what needs to be cleared is that the video was taken weeks before his displeasure began with the club.
Therefore, Ronaldo potentially staying with the club can be taken with a pinch of salt. The striker has asked the club to let him leave if they receive a suitable offer in the transfer window.
However, the club is doing everything to keep their main man for another season and make impact signings. It remains to be seen if United receive a good bid and if Ronaldo accepts the offer.
