Chelsea will not entertain any offers for Levi Colwill this summer

Paris Saint-Germain may encounter difficulties in acquiring Levi Colwill from Chelsea. Journalist Ben Jacobs asserts on Substack that PSG admires Colwill. But The Blues will rebuff any offers as he is deemed “untouchable.”

Given Colwill’s pivotal role for Mauricio Pochettino and his impressive performance against Manchester City, it’s reasonable that Chelsea considers him indispensable. Following the match, Liverpool legend Steve Nicol advocated for Pochettino to maintain his defensive partnership of Colwill and Axel Disasi.

Chelsea expects a lot from Colwill hence no point of selling him

According to Jacobs, Liverpool also shows interest in Colwill. But Chelsea’s position is unequivocal: the England international will not be sold.

It’s indeed the right stance. Colwill penned a new six-year contract last summer and has swiftly become a vital part of the Blues’ squad, featuring both at left-back and centre-back. Consequently, Chelsea faces no urgency to offload a player highly esteemed by Pochettino.

Colwill is expected to start against Liverpool. Especially with Thiago Silva’s recovery from his groin injury uncertain ahead of the Carabao Cup final on Sunday. This match may serve as a reminder to Liverpool of why they desire him. Thus, highlighting why Chelsea is adamant about retaining their academy product.

If Liverpool and PSG are seeking to bolster their central defense this summer, they’ll need to search elsewhere. It would be surprising if Chelsea considers any offers for a player currently making an impact and expects to continue doing so in the future. We are confident that Colwill will remain at Chelsea in the upcoming transfer window.
