Chelsea vs Tottenham Hotspur: Preview and Predicted Line-up

Premier League player

After beating Tottenham Hotspur over the two legs in the EFL Cup semi-final, Chelsea will face the city rival once again in the Premier League on Sunday evening.

The Blues had to endure a draw against Brighton in the last game, despite going ahead in the first half. On the other hand, the Lillywhites are coming into this game on the back of a terrific last-minute victory against Leicester City.

Thomas Tuchel’s side is currently sitting in third in the league with 44 points in 23 games. And Spurs are fifth with 36 points in 19 games. Therefore, the hosts cannot afford to lose against the London rivals in this game as they will jeopardize their chance to finish in the top four spots if they lose this game.

Chelsea has won five of the last six games against Tottenham in the Premier League, keeping five clean sheets. The Blues have already won three games in this season against the Lillywhites with an aggregate of 6-0.

However, Thomas Tuchel’s side is coming into this game on the back of a tough run of results in the league as they have accumulated only six points in the last five league games and won only one.
