Chelsea vs Leicester City: Match Preview, Kick-off, Team news, and more

About Football Express UK

Chelsea takes on Leicester City next in the Premier League. Chelsea will finish in the top 4 regardless of their outcome in their final two games. Leicester City will be finishing in a mid-table spot this year and just like Chelsea, the game’s outcome won’t change anything.

Expected to be title contenders, Chelsea have failed to live up to their expectations. Even though they have been much better than last year as they have had a better team and a better manager. However, they haven’t been able to give enough competition to the likes of Liverpool and Manchester City.

They were to go after the title, however, have settled for a top 4 spot. Moreover, Chelsea will finish the season without a trophy as they lost a 3rd consecutive FA cup final. Chelsea are under more pressure as the takeover isn’t over and their license ends in May. However, with the upcoming games, comes the chance for Chelsea to finish the season on a high note.

Leicester City have been mediocre by their standards as they have always been a club challenging the top 6. They always gave tough competition to the big teams however they haven’t managed to do so this season as they head for a mid-table finish. However, they have caused a couple of upsets by defeating Manchester United and drawing with them again. They have another opportunity to cause a big upset by taking down Chelsea and heading for a great finish.
