Chelsea players want Thomas Tuchel to pursue Everton forward

Richarlison

Players from the camp at Chelsea want manager Thomas Tuchel to go all-in for Everton forward Richarlison this summer.

Richarlison is wanted by a number of clubs this summer ahead of the new season. Chelsea are in the race to sign the forward but may hold back as their interest in Raphinha is slowly pacing up.

However, a number of players at the bridge want the gaffer to throw his hat in the ring for Richarlison. Certain attributes the forward possesses are liked by the players at the Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea to rival Tottenham?

Chelsea are well informed that their rivals Tottenham are interested to make a swoop for the Everton forward this summer.

Moreover, Richarlison has informed the Toffees manager of his desire to leave the club and take upon a new challenge. While Chelsea continues to face problems in their attack, Tuchel is looking to find a suitable candidate upfront this summer.

However, Tottenham have been very attentive towards Richarlison and are swiftly moving forward with the deal. Antonio Conte’s Spurs may include Harry Winks as a part of their deal to facilitate Richarlison’s move to the N17.

That said, Chelsea lacks a clear attacking frontline as Romelu Lukaku, Timo Werner, and Kai Havertz all failed to turn up during important matches for the club.

With Lukaku leaving Chelsea on loan to his former club Inter Milan, the interest in Richarlison is an obvious one. Moreover, the interest in Raphinha and Raheem Sterling appears to be key factors in Richarlison’s move to the Bridge.

Chelsea have identified Sterling as a backup option if they fail to land either of the two forwards. Sterling could be interested to join Tuchel’s Blues due to Manchester City’s new signings made this summer.

The lack of game time under Pep could force him to make an exit and join Chelsea this summer. This eventually would solve a part of Tuchel’s issues in the attack for the next season.
