Chelsea might be on the lookout for Karim Benzema as per reports

Fabrizio Romano recently provided an update on Chelsea potential signing. Thus, stating on Twitter that upcoming meetings will decide the future of Karim Benzema at Al Ittihad.

Emerging reports indicate Benzema’s dissatisfaction in Saudi Arabia. Thus, sparking speculation of a potential swift return to Europe this month.

Chelsea appears to be urgently seeking solutions for their striking position in the upcoming days. Some within the club are reportedly showing dissatisfaction with the current options of Nicolas Jackson and Armando Broja.

Armando Broja is reportedly available for a transfer this month, but finding a match for the asking price seems improbable. His departure may also hinge on Chelsea securing a new striker, with a short-term option being the reported priority at this point.

What did Romano say about Benzema and Chelsea?

Romano suggests that there will likely be an update on Benzema’s future following upcoming meetings.

Romano stated: “Understand more meetings will take place soon to discuss the future of Karim Benzema. The situation remains tense with Al Ittihad.”

“SPL bosses still want KB to stay in Saudi, even to join another Saudi club. Return to Europe can only be possible with huge salary cut.”

Chelsea, eyeing a summer move for a permanent striker, may find a short-term loan solution ideal for the remainder of the season. While Victor Osimhen and Ivan Toney are reportedly top choices, securing either deal in this window seems unlikely. That is due to their current clubs relying on them in the forward positions.
