Chelsea looking to offload certain players for new signings next season

A recent report suggests that Chelsea may consider selling one of their latest signings at the end of the season. Last summer, Chelsea, under Todd Boehly’s leadership, were active in the transfer market. Thus, acquiring several new players for Mauricio Pochettino’s inaugural season. They seem to be gearing up for the summer too, with Napoli’s Victor Osimhen emerging as a key target.

Despite significant investments in numerous additions, Chelsea’s fortunes in the Premier League haven’t improved. Since, they are currently on track to miss out on the top six yet again.

Goalkeeper who will be leaving Chelsea

Despite reaching the EFL Cup final against Liverpool this weekend, one player, sidelined due to injury, may potentially depart the club at the end of the current season.

Football Insider reports that Chelsea have made a decision regarding goalkeeper Robert Sanchez, indicating he might already be ready to leave Stamford Bridge.

A reliable source informed Football Insider that Chelsea intend to entertain offers for Sanchez. He is currently on the path to recovery after his last match against Everton in December 2023.

Boehly and Chelsea are reportedly planning to recruit a new first-choice goalkeeper in the summer. Despite Dorde Petrovic’s recent impressive performances under Pochettino. While no specific names are disclosed, it seems likely to result in a situation of one player coming in and another, possibly Sanchez, departing. Sanchez, contracted until 2030, could be the outgoing player.

There will surely be more names who will be leaving the club soon.
