ENGLISH PREMIER LEAGUE

Chelsea keeping a close eye on Rafael Leao

About Football Express UK

According to Pete O’Rourke, Chelsea will be monitoring Leao’s performance this world cup very closely.

The Portuguese winger’s contract isn’t expiring until 2024, however, it is getting tough for AC Milan to convince him to stay longer.

Knowing this they have valued him at €100m (£87m). Chelsea are the recent team to show an interest in him and hoping to bring him to the Premier League this summer.

When Pete spoke to GiveMeSport, he said that Chelsea would be monitoring Leao’s performance for Portugal during this world cup.

He said:

I’m sure they’ll be keeping a close eye on him during the World Cup, and if he does really well for Portugal, Chelsea will be very keen to bring him to Stamford Bridge.

“But on the flip side of that, it will probably only increase his price tag as well if he does have a good World Cup with Portugal.”

leao will follow Nkunku?

According to all the sources and news, Christopher Nkunku is very close to joining Chelsea and Raphael Leao may follow his lead.

While scoring 7 goals and 9 assist in 20 games across the whole Europe (transfermarket), Leao is one of the most informed player right now.

His £87m value may seem too much to the Chelsea fans, but it justifies the quality and the form of the player.
