Chelsea are considering bringing the Hull City loanee Harvey vale to the club amid an injury crisis.
Harvey Vale has been struggling for minutes during his maiden loan call at Hull City. At the start of the season, he was injured and now Chelsea have called him up.
Harvey Vale has returned to Chelsea with his loan move ending prematurely. The Tigers signed the young Blues player in the summer on a one-year loan, but he hasn’t played much for Humberside.
Football.london has learned that Vale, despite playing in Hull’s FA Cup encounter against Fulham over the weekend, has made his way back to west London. The 19-year-old joins Jayden Wareham, whose stint at Leyton Orient has also come to an end, as the club’s second player to return to Cobham this month.
Harvey Vale’s performance this season
The youngster only has 2 Championship appearances in addition to the FA Cup matches he played. He played a total of 137 minutes for the club. Despite Hull manager Liam Rosenior being quite positive about the England youth international, the prospect of additional appearances seemed tenuous.
He said in December,
“They’ve both [Vale and Xavier Simson] made an excellent impression on me. Harvey’s got some outstanding abilities and is a really good athlete.“
Vale will remain with the Blues for the remainder of the season, having already featured for the team in the Papa Johns Trophy. He is ineligible to play for another club because he has already appeared for two senior teams in 2022–2. Now he will play the rest of the season for Graham Potter’s team or Chelsea’s under–23 squad.
Chelsea and Potter want to perform well anyhow so that they finish the season in the top 4. Presently, it feels impossible with the current form they are in.
