Chelsea are said to be in links with Crystal Palace winger Wilfred Zaha.
Media Foot reports that Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has been attracted to Zaha and wants to acquire him.
The report even adds that the Blues could soon forward an offer to Palace in order to sign the winger. The 29-year-old has an incredible record at Selhurst Park. He has made over 429 appearances for the club and has been a key player for Palace for years now.
The Ivorian can both play on the left wing or as a central striker. Moreover, he makes life for defenders difficult when he mostly operates in the wing. His pace and dribbling skills are deceptive and create trouble for the opposition in the Premier League.
However, doubts have been raised about his finishing and final passes in the box. Still, he had a good season last term when he scored 15 goals from the 37 games that he played for Palace across all competitions.
Will Zaha finally leave Crystal Palace for Chelsea this season?
This could finally be the window where Zaha makes a move out of Selhurst Park for one of the top clubs.
Zaha has been a pleasure to watch for years. Still, there has been a question mark over whether he should be promoted to an elite club. There is a belief in the Chelsea camp that an attacker should be signed to pair up with Raheem Sterling this season.
Moreover, it remains to be seen how he manages within the Chelsea football setup.
Chelsea’s right-back Reece James has even described Zaha to be ‘very fast’. Therefore, he can add some pace to the Blues’ front line. Timo Werner has been in talks for a move out of Stamford Bridge this season. Therefore, Zaha could fill in Werner’s shoes.
Though, asking to play as a central striker would be too much for Zaha.
