Chelsea could sign this star English striker

Chelsea could sign Tottenham striker Harry Kane which was reported by journalist Christian Falk.

Though it seems to be an outrageous claim still the journalist says that a transfer could be in the cards.

The 28-year-old had yet another memorable season with Spurs last term. He even was instrumental in taking the team to the top-four on the last day, hence breaking their rivals Arsenal’s hearts.

However, he was doubtful in the squad last season as he wanted to leave the club and there were strong links with Manchester City. However, he was not successful in his pursuit to leave the club.

Therefore, Chelsea are now optimistic that Kane has not changed his mind and he still wants to leave. Moreover, he has not yet signed a new deal with Spurs. Hence, Falk believes that the Blues’ interest has heightened with this. Though, they think that he would most probably leave the Premier League and fly out.

Chelsea is desperately in need of a striker

Falk tweeted on his official Twitter account,

TRUE: Harry Kane is very interesting for Chelsea. but the Club believes that Spurs would prefer to sell Kane to a Club like Bayern instead to an English competitor if Kane won‘t sign a new contract at Tottenham.”

The signing of Raheem Sterling by the London club has given them a ray of hope to sign Kane.

Sterling and Kane both are England regulars and they pair well with the national team.

Moreover, the English captain had earlier claimed that Sterling is ‘a joy to play with’.

Thomas Tuchel has made it a priority to sign a striker before the transfer window closes. This means that Timo Werner could be offloaded this summer. It is still unsure who they are going to target for their striker position. However, it is thought that they will go for a winger.

Allain Saint-Maximin and Wilfred Zaha are linked to the Blues in recent days.
