Chelsea confirms Marina Granovskaia’s exit and Board changes

Chelsea has been dealing with board changes ever since Todd Boehly’s takeover. The club has confirmed Marina Granovskaia’s exit and made changes to the board hierarchy. Chelsea had earlier made preparations for a new transfer in the Summer. Moreover, they gave full control of the transfers to Thomas Tuchel to allow him to get players of his choice. However, They have not signed a player yet.

Official Statement

Chelsea has confirmed the departure of Marina Granovskaia who has influenced several signing to Stamford Bridge. The official statement read :

“Boehly will operate as interim sporting director until the club names a full-time replacement, continuing the club’s work towards its targets during the current transfer window, We thank Marina for her many years of excellent service to the club and wish her all the best in her future ventures.”

Furthermore, Todd Boehly added :

“As custodians of Chelsea FC, we now begin executing our long-term vision and plan for the club, creating an outstanding experience for its passionate, loyal fans, and continuing to challenge for top honours in line with Chelsea FC’s dedicated history, Working together, side by side, we are firmly committed to winning, both on and off the pitch. For us, that effort has begun”.

Behdad Eghbali and Jose E. Feliciano, co-owners added their thoughts as well.

“As the new era of the Boehly-Clearlake ownership begins, we are excited to build a championship organisation and grow Chelsea FC as a global platform, We look forward to backing Thomas Tuchel, Emma Hayes and their teams, and will provide proactive, unbending support to make Chelsea’s loyal fans and our partners proud.”

Chelsea supporters will be hoping for new players after the changes. Most importantly they will be hoping to make a finalization about Romelu Lukaku before the window closes.
