Chelsea 2-2 Liverpool: player ratings
Caoimhin Kelleher(6.5/10)(GK):
The youngster was deputised for Allison and did extremely well. Looked quite calm on the field and made a few great stops.
Trent Alexander-Arnold(6/10)(RB):
The Englishman struggled defensively but did well going forward. Produced an excellent assist as well for Salah on the second goal.
Ibrahima Konate(6/10)(CB):
It wasn’t a great display from the Frenchman and was out of position on the second goal for the Blues.
Virgil Van Dijk(6/10)(CB):
Had a solid game but should have closed down Pulisic on the second goal. But, he let him wide open and the American pounced on it brilliantly.
Konstantinos Tsimikas(6/10)(LB):
Started the game in place of suspended Andrew Robertson. And did pretty well against a strong Chelsea team.
Fabinho(5.5/10)(CDM):
Struggled to keep up with the energy of the opposition midfielders and also failed to protect the back four well enough as he usually does.
Jordan Henderson(6/10)(CM):
It was not his best game of the season and struggled to play their free-flowing game against the Champions League winners.
James Milner(5.5/10)(CM):
Lacked efficacy with the possession and wasn’t at his best on the night and overall a good performance from the veteran.
Mohamed Salah(7/10)(RW):
Scored a brilliant goal and also could have scored a few but was denied by the brilliance of the opposition goalkeeper.
Sadio Mane(7/10)(LW):
Capitalized brilliantly on the mistake of Trevoh Chalobah and scored a very good goal. Overall he worked well and produced a good performance.
Diogo Jota(5.5/10)(CF):
Could not be involved in the game as much as the Liverpool fans hoped for. Overall it was not a great afternoon for the Portugal international.
Substitute:
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain(6/10)(CF):
Replaced Jota and played in an unfamiliar position. So, he could not influence the game.
Naby Keita(6/10)(CM):
Came on the field midway through the second half but could not find his feet in the game.
Curtis Jones(N/A):
Came very late into the game and didn’t have enough time to impact the game.
