Chelsea 2-2 Liverpool: player ratings

Edouard Mendy(7/10)(GK):

The Senegalese keeper made a few great saves to earn at least a point for Thomas Tuchel’s side.

Trevoh Chalobah(6/10)(RCB):

Made a bad mistake which led to the first goal for the visitors. Apart from that, he displayed a very good performance and saved his side on a few occasions.

Thiago Silva(6/10)(CB):

Distribution was very good and defensively did quite well.

Antonio Rudiger(6/10)(LCB):

Caught ball-watching for the second goal of Liverpool. But, otherwise played a quite solid game.

Cesar Azpilicueta(6/10)(RWB):

Defensively did well but wasn’t good enough going forward for the hosts.

Mateo Kovacic(7.5/10)(CM):

Worked tirelessly in midfield and dominated the game against the mighty Liverpool and also scored an astonishing goal.

N’Golo Kante(7/10)(CM):

Showed great energy and intensity in midfield. Overall a great display from the Frenchman.

Marcos Alonso(7/10)(LWB):

Looked threatening going forward and also did well defensively. But, he failed to stop Salah from scoring a great goal.

Mason Mount(6/10)(RW):

Off the ball, he worked great but with the possession, he needed to be much more clinical. Overall, a decent performance from the Englishman.

Christian Pulisic(6.5/10)(LW):

The American equalized the game for Chelsea. But, he should have opened the account early in the game but failed to score from a one on one situation.

Kai Havertz(5.5/10)(CF):

Started a game after a while and therefore he looked short in fitness and sharpness.

Thomas Tuchel’s side controlled the game more after his introduction. Prior to that, it was a frantic and end to end game.

Callum Hudson-Odoi(6/10)(CF):

Replaced Kai Havertz but the Englishman couldn’t impact the game as much as the home fans were hoping for.
