Charlie Savage made his debut for Manchester United yesterday against Young Boys. The youngster made his debut along with Zidane Iqbal in the Champions League replacing Jesse Lingard and Mata respectively.
The 18-year-old is the son of current pundit and former Leicester City ace Robbie Pundit.
Manchester United faced Young Boys but they were unable to beat them. The score was 1-1 thanks to a Mason Greenwood goal. Ralf Rangnick started youngsters and those players who do not get playtime.
Despite the fact that United failed to win they have still qualified for the Champions League and are the winners of their group.
Two Manchester United youngsters to look out for under Ralf Rangnick
Teden Mengi
Mengi is a recognisable name amongst the United coaching staff. He has been with the academy since the age of 7 years old. Mengi was appointed as a captain at every age group in which he has played.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer handed him his senior debut for the club against LASK in the Europa League.
Teden is a defender for Manchester United’s U-23 team. He is comfortable on the ball, oozes, good in the air. Many even consider him as a leader. He was sent on loan to Derby County in 2019/20 where he made 9 appearances.
At Derby County, Mengi suffered an injury whereas Wayne Rooney was very impressed with him and wanted to keep him. As of now, he can be a great asset in the future since Maguire is very unreliable.
Amad Diallo
The 18-year-old winger is a bright prospect and just like Mengi, he came in the spotlight under Ole. Amad has played 170 minutes across the PL. His most impressive performance was against AC Milan in the Europa League when he scored a goal against them.
Diallo is quick and is not a pacey player but possesses great spatial awareness. It is not necessary that every player needs to have pace, for example, the legend Sergio Busquets himself is not a pacey player himself. Even Mata and David Silva are similar players but all of them possess world-class technical ability and ball retention skills. He does not often crack under pressure and often makes precise passes.
