A depleted Leicester City will travel to a struggling Burnley side in the Premier League. With multiple players missing from the Foxes squad, there are chances for the game to be called off.

Covid-19 have been causing issues in the Premier League, with both Leicester and Burnley seeing some of their matches being postponed. Both teams however did have their FA Cup ties, where Leicester City had a comfortable victory while Burnley lost to Huddersfield.

Both the clubs are not sitting where they want to be in the Premier League table. Leicester City is sitting 10th in the table while Burnley is battling relegation in 18th place.

Injuries, AFCON and Covid are major problems for both sides. For Leicester, many of their main team players are on international duties or out injured. This includes Jonny Evans, Jamie Vardy, Ricardo Pereira, Wesley Fofana and James Justin who are injured long term.

Wilfred Ndidi, Nampalys Mendy, Kelechi Ihenacho and Daniel Amartey on the other hand are on AFCON duties. There are also injury doubts and issues of Covid still going around.

As for Burnley Nathan Collins, Dwight McNeil, Charlie Taylor, Erik Pieters and Matej Vydra are all out due to Covid. Maxwel Cornet, who has been impressive for Burnley is also out with his nation for AFCON. But the club could expect Ashley Barnes and Johann Berg Gudmundsson to be back for the match.

BURNLEY: Nick Pope; Phil Bardsley, James Tarkowski, Ben Mee, Matthew Lowton; Johann Berg Gudmundsson, Jack Cork, Ashley Westwood, Josh Brownhill; Aaron Lennon, Jay Rodriguez

LEICESTER CITY: Kasper Schmeichel; Timothy Castagne, Caglar Soyuncu, Jannik Vestergaard, Ryan Bertrand; Youri Tielemans, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall; Ademola Lookman, James Maddison, Harvey Barnes; Patson Daka

PREDICTIONS: Burnley 0 – 1 Leicester City

Burnley is going through a rough period and will find it very difficult to come out with a result, even against an injury stricken Leicester side. More importantly, the club will find it very hard when it comes to scoring goals after selling their main striker Chris Wood.

Wood has been one of the main goal scorers for the Clarets and is their all-time top scorer in the Premier League. With him out and Ashley Barnes not returning to full fitness, the outlets for goals will dry up. Leicester could also be without any strikers, but Daka is may become fit before the match.

Even with all the injuries, the Foxes have better quality in their team and are favourites to win all three points. The biggest question however will be whether the match will be postponed due to so many missing players.
