According to reports, Arsenal‘s young star Bukayo Saka is hesitant to sign a new deal with the Premier League giants without including a buy-out clause.

The English young winger has enjoyed a very impressive season in the Premier League this term. Saka nearly pushed his boyhood club back into Champions League football. But with the 2-0 loss, they suffered against Newcastle United. The chances of returning to Champions League football look very sleek now.

Bukayo Saka has made a total of 42 appearances across all competitions this term. During this time, he recorded an impressive 12 goals and six assists. The Mail have reported that Bukayo Saka is reluctant to sign a new long-term deal with the club without a release clause included. Release clauses are extremely rare in the English league. But Arsenal may be pressured into including a release clause if Saka rejects to sign a new deal. Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is reported to be a big fan of Saka. Liverpool may intensify their interest if the youngster rejects to sign a new deal with the club.

With Arsenal set to return to European football next term. Mikel Arteta has confirmed that he will talk to Gareth Southgate about the youngster’s England involvement over the summer. The Arsenal manager said:

“He needs a break, that is for sure, Saka has played a lot of minutes this season and he played a lot of minutes last season.”

“You expect your important players to do so, to have that ability and show the quality that Bukayo has shown consistently throughout the season. But obviously you have to bear in mind that at some stage he needs to rest. That is something we really need to think about, the plans for him in the summer.”
