Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes has denied claims that he will go to Barcelona.
There have been many allegations and rumours involving Cristiano Ronaldo and Manchester United. These reports also state that Bruno Fernandes is frustrated with Ronaldo and is looking to leave the Red Devils for Barcelona. Other allegations have been laid on Ronaldo’s agent Jorge Mendes that he has visited Barcelona to offer CR7 to them.
” And I thought we had changed the year a few days ago and after all we are already on April 1st. Or is it once again just bad journalism?”
The Portuguese magnifico is a key part of the Manchester United squad. Even in the current season, he has 5 goals and 9 assists in 23 appearances.
Would Barcelona actually require Bruno Fernandes?
As of now, Barcelona does not have any prolific strikers since they let go of Suarez and Griezmann. This has caused a big problem in the squad.
Depay has shown signs of playing well as a winger whereas Luuk De Jong is not a reliable option. Currently, amongst Barcelona, they have many talented youngsters like Pedri, Gavi and Nico.
The club’s best finisher as of now is Ansu Fati who is facing his injury issues. Barcelona has a lot of creativity but no end product, they certainly do not require Bruno Fernandes. Messi carried the goalscoring load last season and ever since his departure Barcelona has suffered a lot. The Spanish outfit has had their worst start to the season since 2002/03. The goalscoring numbers have dropped immensely.
The absence of a prolific striker has proven that the club is underperforming their xG(expected goals). Whereas on the other hand Real Madrid are overperforming their xG and sit at the top of the table.
No matter how good Bruno Fernandes is, he would only hinder the development of talented youngsters in Barcelona.
The previous board had made mistakes signing big-name players without any requirement but surely even if the chance arises, Barcelona will not sign Bruno Fernandes.
