Liverpool defender joins Nottingham Forest

Relishing an impressive loan stint with the Cottagers, the right-back quickly garnered interest from clubs in the English top-flight.

Nottingham Forest have reportedly made a deal in the region of £17million for the Liverpool defender to secure his services. Moreover, Williams will soon complete his medicals with his new club and join the squad for the pre-season.

The 21-year-old reached an agreement with Steve Cooper’s side and is keen to work under the gaffer this coming season. Moreover, he took to Twitter to confirm his exit ahead of his move to the newly-promoted Premier League side.

He said-

15 years at this special club, thank you for everything Liverpool

it’s been an honour to play for this club and to play under Jurgen Klopp. But I’ve now decided to take up a new challenge

I wish all the team and the staff the best of luck for the future and will always….

However, Unable to find a regular spot under Klopp at Liverpool, Williams will look to impress the Nottingham boss next season. Moreover, he will be keen to cement his spot as a regular and play consistently in most of the matches.
