Bayern Munich: Gnabry is unhappy with the manager, Wants to leave

About Football Express UK

There have been reports that Bayern Munich forward Serge Gnabry is unhappy with manager Julian Nagelsmann. Gnabry has had limited game time last season and his role at the club is under scrutiny at the moment. The addition of Sadio Mane into the squad has not helped his case. As is the case Gnabry wants to leave Bayern Munich and Chelsea has shown interest.

Gnabry has been with Bayern since 2018 and has been very good for them. Munich has got a very sizeable return on their investment by the former Arsenal player. Gnabry has steadily climbed up the ranks from his debut season and reached an all-time peak in 2020 when Bayern won the Champions League. However, Gnabry has had a difficult time last season as he was not able to produce much in attack. This was not just the case for Gnabry but for the whole squad as well as they were knocked out of the Champions League by Villareal. The forward’s poor performances meant he was dropped out of the squad and wants to leave Munich.

Chelsea interested in Gnabry

Chelsea has heard about rumors from the Munich camp and has shown interest in signing the German International. Thomas Tuchel has shown a personal interest in the player and would love to have him at Stamford Bridge.

Although Gnabry had earlier said he would not move to any other Premier League club other than Arsenal as he is a Gunner. However, Chelsea is confident they will be able to convince the 26-year-old.

The German could be the perfect player to pair along with Chelsea’s first signing of the season, Raheem Sterling. Moreover, Kai Havertz could easily flourish playing alongside two world-class players as he gains experience.

However, it is unsure whether Chelsea would still show an interest if they manage to get Raphinha.
