Trippier keen on Joining Manchester United this summer.

Manchester United are eager to strengthen their squad this summer with the inclusion of Kieran Trippier. The Red Devils will be looking for adding some depth behind Aaron Wan-Bissaka as they look to compete for the Premier League title next season.

Man United have not won a major trophy in the last four years. The Red Devils boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be keen on rebuilding his squad ahead of next season. According to the British outlet Mirror, The La Liga winner is set to return to the Premier League. Moreover, Trippier has told his England teammates about his willingness to join Man United.

The 30-year-Old right-back has previously been part of the Premier League campaign under Burnley and Tottenham Hotspur. Trippier joined Spurs in 2015 after a successful loan spell at Burnley from Manchester City. Over a time period of nearly 4 years, he made 69 appearances for Spurs and was also a part of Mauricio Pochettino’s team which reached the Champions League final in 2019.

Since Joining Atletico way back in 2019, Trippier has been a crucial part of the team under Diego Simeone. Thus, England International helped his team in securing a La Liga title after 7 long years. It will be interesting to see Trippier moving to Old Trafford if Manchester United end up signing him this summer.

Possibility of Trippier Joining Manchester United this summer

The Atletico Madrid defender is bind with a contract with the Spanish champions which keeps Trippier in Madrid until 2023. In addition to that, Simeone will be keen to hold on the England right back as he played a crucial role in the title winning campaign.

However, if a fair amount is offered by the Red Devils, which they expect to be around £15 million or £20m should be enough to convince Atletico to do business. Trippier will turn 31 this September and Atletico might also be thinking of offloading Trippier this summer.

Moverover, in an interview with Norwegian news outlet TV2, Ole said

“We are second best, but too far behind to threaten those who won. Then we have to strengthen ourselves,”.He added, “Of course, something will happen in the transfer window,”. Solskjaer continued “It is never possible to sit back. You are constantly looking for reinforcements.”

It will be highly likely as Ole is keen to strengthen his squad before the start of next season. As Ole is keen on contending for the title next season and he knows if he want to compete with the Likes of Manchester City he will defiantly have to make his squad stronger.
