Aston Villa player Bertrand Traore has been ousted by manager Steven Gerrard from the first-team squad, player to play U23 football.

According to BirminghamLive, Traore and Frederic Guilbert have joined Carney Chukwuemeka as per the instruction made by the gaffer. The two players have been banished from the first team setup and will train along with the U23 squad.

It appears that Traore is on his way out of Villa Park this summer post exclusion from the squad. Moreover, Gerrard seems clear with his plans and does not consider the player as part of his project for the new season.

Villa to loan out Traore

The Aston Villa manager considers the forward as a surplus in the squad which is why he could make an exit. Moroever, the club relished a 2-1 victory over French club Stade Rennais with consistency maintained by Gerrard’s men.

However, Traore did not feature in the match against the French club and was made to sit on the sidelines. Villa is open to letting the forward leave this summer and considering putting him on sale in the transfer window.

Moreover, if he leaves the club on a loan deal, the club will have to pay only 30% of his wages. Whatever may be the outcome, the apparent factor appears as though the player’s time with the Midlands is up.

However, offloading the player this summer would help the squad in terms of reducing the club’s overall wage bill.

However, if the forward does end up staying, it would clearly not help solve his case with Villa next season. Moreover, an exit seems imminent in this transfer window and the player could be ready to leave the club.
