Manchester United will be travelling to Emirates Stadium to encounter Arsenal on Saturday in a crucial Premier League encounter.
Arsenal have managed to earn a surprise victory in midweek after beating their London rivals Chelsea by 4-2. The Gunners went ahead twice in the first half courtesy of the contributions from Eddie Nketiah and Emile Smith Rowe. However, on both occasions, Thomas Tuchel’s side came back brilliantly.
Meanwhile, in the second half, Mikel Arteta’s side scored twice but this time the hosts failed to showcase their fighting spirit as they displayed in the first half.
This was the north London club’s first victory after losing the previous three consecutive league games. Following this result, Arsenal are equalled in points with the fourth-placed Tottenham Hotspur, having played the same number of games. However, the Gunners are fifth in goal difference.
On the other hand, Manchester United will come into this game off the back of a disappointing defeat against Liverpool. Ralf Rangnick’s side lost by 4-0 without managing to display any fighting spirit.
Following this defeat, the Mancunians are currently sixth in the league with 54 points in 33 games. Three points behind Spurs, having played one extra game.
Meanwhile, Manchester United won the reverse fixture against Arsenal by 3-2 thanks to a brace from Cristiano Ronaldo. And the north London club will be eyeing revenge from this encounter.
