Arsenal is reportedly looking to sell Bosnian defender Sead Kolasinac in the January transfer window as per the report in English outlet Football. London.
The 28-year-old joined the north London club back in 2017 from FC Schalke for free. However, the defender has found it difficult to showcase his talent in the Premier League. And he displayed inconsistent performances throughout his time at the Emirates Stadium.
According to the report, Arsenal is willing to offload Kolasinac in the winter transfer window as the full back’s contract will expire at the end of this season. And the north London club is hoping to generate some cash by selling him in January.
The report further claims that Turkish side Fenerbahce previously linked with the Bosnian international. And Sari Kanaryalar could reignite their interest in January. The defender could reunite with his old friend Mesut Özil at the Turkish club which might make this move into reality.
Can Arsenal offload Kolasinac in the winter transfer window?
Offloading Kolasinac and generating some cash will be a very good decision by Arsenal. Having arrived for free, making some money off the defender will be a very good business by the north London club.
Meanwhile, the left-back has spent most of his time on the bench this season. He made only one start this term in the Premier League where the Gunners lost to Manchester City by 5-0. The defender made a few appearances in the cup competitions where he hasn’t been able to impress the Emirates faithful.
Meanwhile, after starting the season on a disappointing note. Mikel Arteta has managed to turn his fortune around and is currently unbeaten in the last nine games in all competitions. The north London club is currently sitting sixth in the Premier League with 17 points in 10 games.
