Zubimendi Sociedad Arsenal

Arsenal are currently having a very good season. They are competing with Manchester City for the Premier League title. Ever since Mikel Arteta took charge of Gunners he has impressed both club and the fans. Arteta wants to make some key signings this summer and it seems to be backed by the club. Arsenal currently are linked with Martín Zubimendi who is having a good season at Spain. The spanish manager is impressed with 25 year old midfielder and want to pair him with Declan Rice.

Martín Zubimendi plays as a defensive midfielder for Real Sociedad. Zubimendi has played 31 matches in La Liga this season. Along with 4 goals he has 1 assist to his name. Zubimendi is currently a regular starter for both club and country. Along with controlling the midfield, the 25 year old also drops deep between centre backs to help the defense. Zubimendi can deliver very clinical through balls from deep areas of the pitch. These qualities have eyes of bigger clubs all over him and make him key player in summer market.

Arsenal leading the race for Zubimendi

Arsenal are not the only club after Zubimendi. Barcelona have also been heavily linked with the midfielder. However Barca seem to find it very difficult to sign Zubimendi. Real Sociedad have demanded £51 million for the 25 year old midfielder. Barca are struggling with finance and are reported to be in debt. This may give the gunners a lead in signing the spanish international.

Another club that is interested in Zubimendi is Bayern Munich. Bayern are not willing to pay £51 million for the midfielder according to TeamTalk. Arsenal however are ready to pay the price and bring the spanish international to the Emirates stadium. Thomas Partey is rumoured to be sold this transfer window. So the signing of Martín Zubimendi can prove as a like for like replacement. Arsenal may soon make a move for spanish midfielder as their spanish boss Mikel Arteta admires him so much.
